It might look neat and simple on the surface, but you'd be surprised how many tiny details go into getting everything just right — and yes, it took a lot of work. What Happened: HUT's subsidiary, American Bitcoin, is merging with Gryphon Digital Mining in a stock-for-stock transaction. The merged entity will operate under the American Bitcoin brand and trade on Nasdaq as "ABTC." Existing American Bitcoin shareholders will hold about 98% of the new company. The deal is expected to close by Q3 2025, with Hut 8 remaining as the infrastructure partner.

Mining companies have recently started releasing their first quarter results, with more expected in the coming weeks.
