What Happened: On December 17, 2025, Hut 8 signed a 15-year, $7.0 billion AI data center lease with Fluidstack for 245 MW at its River Bend campus in Louisiana. Google is backing the deal financially, and the project is supported by partners like J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs. The agreement marks a major step in Hut 8鈥檚 shift toward AI infrastructure, with the first phase expected online in Q2 2027.
