New Company Profile
The company profile page finally long planned and much needed makeover after many months of neglect. For reference, we had planned out the design for this in late 2024 but it was only implemented now. We have built 3 sections to start with but more will be appearing in the near future.
Market
The first of these sections, which is entirely new, is the Market tab. Here we display some common metrics such as the market cap and moving averages. But there's also a chart which can switch between the historical price, market cap, and shares outstanding of the stock. This is very useful and offers greater insights than a simple price chart, as you can see how the issuance of shares has diluted a stock's share price over time.
As usual, controls are available to make the chart full screen, zoom in on sections, and these are possible to download in jpeg format. There's also a toggle which swaps out the chart for a table that contains the daily stock performance metrics, for the entire history of the stock.
About
Moving on to the About tab, this section contains some data that we previously displayed although there are a number of new additions. In the Company Overview section there's now a link to the company's LinkedIn profile, we added their IPO date and also their headquarters location.
Below this is a new section titled Key Executives. Here we list current leadership personnel of a company, with the ability to add images and links to the person's X and LinkedIn accounts should a company want to enhance their profile on our site.
News
The News tab has received a fresh design and currently contains the same press releases that were present previously. Although we will be adding more sections to this tab shortly which contain newsworthy items such as insider trades.
Bitcoin Mining Directory
Find and Connect with Bitcoin Mining Companies
Something a little different here. We decided to build a Bitcoin Mining Directory to help industry players find and connect with each other. With an intuitive interface, you can now locate companies across the globe that provide various services supporting our industry. Users can filter companies by category, rating or verified status for enhanced trust.
Leave Ratings and Reviews
Users have the ability to leave ratings and reviews about companies with whom they have dealt with, to help others better understand the reputation of these businesses before they engage with them.
Submit New Listings, Get Verified or Promoted
We encourage anyone reading this to add reviews about companies they've dealt with, or submit your business if it isn't already listed on the platform! Companies also have the ability to undergo verification with us, or become promoted to get in-front of more potential customers by being first recommended in various categories.
The company directory is not all we have planned for this section of the website. Stay tuned, for more updates that are already well underway 馃槈
Landing Page Cards - Total Market Cap & Volume, Gainers & Losers, Heatmap
The landing page had a bit of a spruce up with some new cards that appear at the top of the page, giving you an overview about some key market stats. We now display the sector's total market cap and volume for the day, top gainers and losers, as well as the heatmap. These all contain quick links to dedicated pages for each.
Of particular interest here is the Total Market Cap and Volume page. The charts here give a unique perspective about the Bitcoin mining stocks sector as a whole. As you can see, currently we are quite far away from the highs made in 2021, suggesting there may be significant further gains ahead of us this cycle.
Miscellaneous Changes
As always, we're constantly improving upon existing pages and features to make them more useful. Here are some of the more noteworthy additions, starting with updates to the Bitcoin Treasuries page.
Historical Sat/Shares for Companies
Previously we added the current sats per share for companies to the latest data view. Now this metric is available historically, so you can see how it has changed over time for all the companies.
Bitcoin Holdings as a Percentage of Market Cap
Bitcoin holdings as a percentage of market cap, or %Mcap, was added. Now you can see how the company's Bitcoin treasury value stacks up against its market cap. This is also available historically and in the individual company view.
Rework EV calculation
Following some user feedback, we implemented a new formula for the Enterprise value calculation which affects all EV related metrics such as EV/EH/s, EV/EBITDA and EV/Revenue. The new formula is EV = Current Market Cap + Total Debt - Cash & Cash Equivalents - Fair Value of Bitcoin Holdings. The decision to subtract the current dollar value of a company's Bitcoin holdings gives us a more accurate EV, as BTC holdings are not included as part of a company's cash in quarterly SEC filings. Companies who do not report their Bitcoin holdings have a note against their EV value indicating this fact.
