We've added a new page, AI Data Centers, to the site. It serves as a clear way to track and measure each company’s HPC/AI pivot, and compare data center portfolios head to head.
Note: The current version only contains public mining companies that have secured multi-billion dollar hyperscaler deals.
Why we built a tool to track and compare AI data centers
If you follow public Bitcoin miners, you’ve probably noticed that they are no longer just mining companies, but energy infrastructure providers. Power is being redirected, sites are being repurposed and hyperscaler contracts are reshaping balance sheets. But to date it’s been hard to see it all in one place, especially to visualize how real those AI/HPC portfolios are and where they are located. So we built it.
What does the page include?
In addition to the interactive map, we include other useful tools including a bar chart. At a glance, you can see each company’s total HPC/AI data center capacity, broken down into operating, under development, and pipeline. We intentionally exclude Bitcoin mining sites from these totals. The idea is simple: if a company says it’s pivoting to compute, you should be able to measure that independent of unrelated data centers.
By default, the page shows all companies in a combined view. You can apply filters to show only a specific company on both the map and the bar chart. This is useful if you are digging into only one company and want to visualize its data center sites, or see where they are primarily located.
For serious investors that need to dig deeper, we've got you covered. By clicking a pin on the map, you will bring up a data centers' information card. Here you can click a button to access the source document from where we obtained the displayed information.
Further, for those of you needing to check data center construction progress via satellite imagery. We've tracked down the exact coordinates of the data center sites and you can conveniently visit that location on Google maps.
How can you make use of the page?
- Make quick comparisons among companies building and operating AI data centers.
- View the AI data center portfolio of an individual company.
- View the data center sites in Google Maps (for those who want to go further, 3rd party satellite services allow you to view up-to-date construction imagery).
- View the source material from where we acquired information about a specific data center.

This is Version 1 and more additions are on the way. We are also actively updating data as it becomes available, which is reflected on the timestamps appearing on the page.
As always, drop us a message if you have any suggestions and feedback. We genuinely want to build features that serve you better.
