Hash Rate Services
Business Description
Penguin Company (operating commercially as Penguin Global) is a cryptocurrency mining equipment distributor and hash-rate services provider founded in 2017, with registered offices in Dubai, Bahrain, Mississauga (Ontario), and Shenzhen.
The company's business spans three verticals: hardware sales, hosted mining, and facility development. On the equipment side, Penguin distributes ASIC miners from Bitmain/Antminer, Whatsminer, Goldshell, Jasminer, Ice River, Canaan, and Ibelink, as well as its own-branded mobile industrial mining containers (the AF 101 V1 and AF 106 V1 air-cooling units) and step-up power transformers. The containerized product line targets clients requiring mobile or modular deployments rather than permanent fixed-site construction, a format suited to operators in markets with variable grid access or limited permitting timelines.
For clients seeking hosted capacity, Penguin operates or brokers facilities across eight geographies: the UAE, Bahrain, the United States, Canada, Russia, Oman, Kazakhstan, and Ethiopia. The hosted-mining service bundle includes ASIC configuration and wallet setup, 24/7 technical support, on-site maintenance and cleaning, and ongoing performance optimization. Enterprise clients can commission complete facility buildouts covering farm design, structural development, power infrastructure procurement, and long-term operations management under Penguin's corporate-services arm. A reinvestment plan allows clients to cycle mining revenue back into additional equipment purchases at negotiated terms.
Penguin OS, a proprietary fleet-management platform, supports the managed-services offering. It provides real-time hashrate monitoring, heatmap analysis, power consumption tracking, bulk ASIC configuration, remote reboot capabilities, and automatic firmware updates, enabling remote oversight of multi-rig deployments across distributed locations without requiring on-site technical staff at each site.
The Dubai office, in Al Fattan Sky Tower 1, Al Rashdiya, was formally launched on September 20, 2022, at an event featuring cryptocurrency commentators Davinci Jeremie and Shariq Amin. The Bahrain branch, registered in Isa Town, predates the UAE launch and serves as the company's original Middle East base. By August 2023, Penguin Company had extended its commercial footprint into Spain and Germany, per a press release distributed through Zawya.
Leadership includes Founder and Managing Director Mian Ramzan Shabir alongside Managing Directors Bilal Ijaz, Mian Naqash Arshad, and Abdullah Tariq. No external funding rounds have been disclosed as of early 2026. With a four-continent commercial footprint and hosted capacity in eight countries, Penguin is expanding its energy-brokerage services, sourcing power from underutilized grid capacity to supply competitively priced electricity to its own and client-operated mining facilities.
