NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE) is an integrated electric utility holding company headquartered in Juno Beach, Florida, operating Florida Power & Light (the largest regulated U.S. electric utility by retail customers) and NextEra Energy Resources (one of the world's largest generators of wind and solar power). NextEra owns approximately 28 GW of generation capacity and an extensive transmission and distribution network across Florida, alongside a substantial pipeline of renewable generation, battery storage, and contracted electric transmission projects. The NRC recently approved subsequent license renewals for FPL's St. Lucie Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 (extending operations through 2056 and 2063 respectively), supporting AI data center power demand growth.
