Business Description
Blockware Solutions, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, operates as a vertically integrated Bitcoin mining hardware distributor and hash-rate services provider, serving retail and institutional clients through hosted mining, hardware sales, a proprietary hashrate marketplace, a pool, and GPU server procurement under its Nodestream HPC division.
The company's founding rationale was explicitly to relocate Bitcoin network hashrate from China to the United States. Since 2017, Blockware has sold more than 400,000 ASIC miners and deployed hundreds of megawatts of hosting capacity across U.S.-based facilities. Its flagship data center infrastructure includes a 20 MW facility opened in early 2022 in Belfry, Kentucky (the first of three planned sites in the region, with power capacity expandable to 75 MW), built by repurposing former coal and manufacturing sites in Pike County. In April 2025, Blockware added approximately 5 MW at Soluna's Project Dorothy 2 data center in Texas under a two-year hosting agreement covering roughly 1,500 Bitmain S21+ units.
The Mining as a Service (MaaS) platform allows customers to purchase live, hosted machines: current listings advertise 270 TH/s units at 13.5 W/TH and a quoted electricity rate of $0.070 per kWh, while Blockware handles setup, maintenance, and operations. The Bitcoin mining pool runs on a PPS+ structure at a 2% fee with a 0.005 BTC payout threshold and daily settlement. RentHash™, a proprietary hashrate rental product, offers 30-, 60-, 90-, and 120-day contracts backed by TH·day delivery guarantees and remediation policies. The Hashrate Marketplace adds a peer-to-peer layer, with LuxOS firmware integration, verified listings, and BTC settlement. Blockware Intelligence, led by Head Analyst Mitchell Askew, co-author of the Blockware Intelligence Newsletter and author of *The Conservative Case for Bitcoin*, publishes ongoing mining market research.
Blockware also distributes high-performance compute hardware through Nodestream, a GPU server marketplace powered by Blockware Solutions LLC. Nodestream sources NVIDIA H100 HGX, SXM5, SXM8, NVLink, and PCIe configurations via OEM partnerships with Supermicro, Dell, HPE, ASUS, Gigabyte, and Lenovo, targeting enterprise AI training, large language model deployments, and scientific computing buyers globally.
The company raised $25 million in its last disclosed funding round in June 2021, backed by Eterna Capital, M31 Capital Partners, UTXO Management, and Wave Digital Assets. In May 2025, Crypto Blockchain Industries announced a $10 million mining venture with Blockware, under which Blockware will deploy and manage next-generation Bitmain ASICs on CBI's behalf, adding to a managed-services pipeline that complements the company's growing Nodestream HPC distribution channel.
