The company was co-founded by Calix (formerly Bitmain's tax director, then CFO at a NYSE-listed company and later at an AI company) and Frank, a former Big Four accounting firm tax digital product leader who has advised more than 100 enterprises across industries. The broader team includes a tax attorney specializing in international taxation and a former PwC Certified Tax Agent (CTA, China) with eight years of advisory experience. Engineers with backgrounds in ERP systems and distributed blockchain architecture complete the technical staff. FinTax initially operated under the name InTax, completing an angel funding round before rebranding and entering a seed funding round.

FinTax's flagship product, FinTax Suite, launched in June 2025, is a unified on-chain/off-chain accounting platform covering 10,000+ digital assets across 60+ blockchain networks, with data ingestion from 40+ custodians, exchanges, and liquidity platforms. The suite automates FASB/IFRS-compliant financial processes, including transaction reconciliation and cost basis calculations under FIFO, LIFO, weighted average cost (WAC), and specific identification (SpecID), and generates month-end close packages that have been approved by Big Four auditors. Valuation data is sourced from 20+ exchanges with illiquidity controls applied. Journal entries sync natively with Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, and Xero. The platform carries SOC 1 and SOC 2 certifications.

For individual users, FinTax operates a tax calculator that generates IRS Form 8949 and Schedule D in a single click. In July 2024, FinTax launched a FinTAX Telegram mini-App providing on-chain tax management for TON blockchain users. The platform integrates into MetaMask via a published Snap on the MetaMask Snaps Directory, enabling one-click transaction imports. FinTax holds a listing in Circle's Alliance Partner Directory, with the TON Foundation and KuCoin among named partners and platform users.

The company was reported as the first crypto-asset tax reporting software to operate in Hong Kong, covering salary tax and profits tax calculation for digital assets. Its tax consulting practice addresses international taxation, anti-avoidance planning, high-net-worth structuring, multinational risk management, and tax audit relief.

FinTax Suite targets mining companies, mining pools, crypto exchanges, Web3 startups, digital asset funds, and traditional enterprises adopting stablecoins.
