Business Description

HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ/TSX: HIVE), headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, builds and operates Tier-I Bitcoin mining data centers and Tier-III AI/HPC facilities across Canada, Sweden, and Paraguay. It was the first publicly traded cryptocurrency mining company in Canada, originating from a 2017 reverse takeover of a gold exploration firm.

HIVE's largest Bitcoin mining site, the hydroelectric-powered Yguazú campus in Paraguay, was acquired from Bitfarms Ltd. in early 2025 and ramped to its designed 300 MW capacity by September 2025, drawing from the Itaipú Dam. A Phase 3 agreement to add 100 MW at Yguazú targets commissioning in Q3 2026, bringing Paraguay's total to 400 MW. HIVE operates 43.5 MW of data center capacity in Boden, Sweden; combined with Canadian sites, the company's total renewable energy footprint is projected at approximately 540 MW by 2026: 400 MW in Paraguay and 140 MW across Canada and Sweden. According to BitcoinMiningStock.io data as of January 31, 2026, HIVE carried an operating hashrate of 22.20 EH/s and an installed hashrate of 25.50 EH/s, against a stated 2026 target of 35 EH/s. Bitcoin production totaled 297 BTC in January 2026, 306 BTC in December 2025, and 290 BTC in November 2025; the company held 481 BTC in treasury as of December 31, 2025.

HIVE's AI/HPC operations run through BUZZ High Performance Computing Inc. (BUZZ HPC), its Canadian sovereign AI cloud subsidiary. BUZZ HPC partnered with Bell Canada AI Fabric to expand Canadian critical IT load from 4 MW in Manitoba to 16.6 MW across Manitoba and British Columbia by March 2026, with Dell Technologies serving as hardware partner. BUZZ HPC has deployed more than 5,000 GPUs and targets over 11,000 by year-end, with a stated goal of $200 million in contracted annualized run-rate revenue by fiscal year end March 31, 2027. The subsidiary has signed approximately $30 million in two-year fixed-term AI cloud customer contracts and closed a 7.2 MW Toronto site acquisition for Tier III+ sovereign AI infrastructure. On May 8, 2026, HIVE announced BUZZ had begun construction of Eastern Canada's first sovereign AI factory.

Aydin Kilic has served as President and CEO since January 2023, with Frank Holmes as Executive Chairman. HIVE rebranded from HIVE Blockchain Technologies Ltd. in July 2023. The company first listed on the TSX Venture Exchange in 2017 and added a NASDAQ listing in June 2021; it announced an up-listing to the Toronto Stock Exchange effective May 12, 2026, retaining the HIVE ticker on both exchanges. In April 2026, HIVE closed a US$115 million private offering of 0% exchangeable senior notes due 2031, generating net proceeds of approximately US$109.5 million earmarked for GPU purchases and data center development. The company's enterprise value stood at $0.69 billion as of May 8, 2026.

With a 35 EH/s hashrate target and $200 million in annualized BUZZ HPC revenue targeted by March 2027, HIVE Digital Technologies is executing its dual-engine scale-up across three continents.
