Business Description

Hiveon, founded in 2017 by a small group of cryptocurrency mining enthusiasts with zero external investment, develops device-management and energy-optimization software for mining farms and HPC operators across more than 100 countries.

The company's flagship product, **Hive OS**, grew from a private project originally sized for a 100-rig GPU farm. First opened to public users on July 9, 2017 under the working name "Miners Hive," it is a Linux-based operating system that gives operators a unified dashboard for pool configuration, overclocking profiles, bulk firmware updates, remote reboots, and smart-alert notifications across mixed ASIC, GPU, CPU, and FPGA fleets. As of 2025, Hiveon reports more than 5 million devices under management and over 1 million active users globally. During the GPU-mining era, Hiveon's pool ranked as the second-largest Ethereum pool by hashrate on miningpoolstats, with 70% of all Ethereum reported as having been mined on GPU rigs running Hive OS.

**Hiveon ASIC Firmware** is a custom replacement firmware for Bitmain Antminer models (S19, S19j Pro, S19 Pro, S21, T19, T21, and L7) that claims up to 30% additional hashrate over stock firmware. It includes integrated virus protection and automatic thermal-profile throttling, and restricts firmware changes to the Hive OS web interface, removing the native ASIC web interface as a modification vector. The firmware is free for operators running their fleet through Hive OS.

**Hiveon ASIC Hub** is an on-premise hardware controller for large ASIC deployments. It covers bulk-action management and power-draw telemetry, and catches hardware defects early. **Hiveon Enterprise** extends this stack with client and team management layers, energy-cost controls, and AI-driven predictive maintenance tooling targeted at mining hotels and co-location operators. A discrete product line, **Hiveon Energy** (hiveon.energy), helps HPC businesses monetize stranded or surplus power and reduce electricity costs through demand-response and energy-program participation; Hiveon's renewable energy project pipeline exceeds 100 MW.

Hiveon Pool (the Bitcoin and Ethereum pool product) closed on May 15, 2025, with Hiveon consolidating focus on enterprise mining software and energy management. The team numbers roughly 100 people across more than 10 countries, with a substantial share based in Ukraine. James Jewell II serves as CEO. Hiveon's forward roadmap centers on AI-predicted maintenance features within the enterprise software suite and expanded energy program integrations.
