Business Description

SpiderPool, founded in 2018 and headquartered in Singapore, is a Bitcoin mining pool contributing approximately 98.57 EH/s to the Bitcoin network (roughly 10% of the total global hashrate), placing it among the world's five largest pools by contributed compute.

SpiderPool serves more than 265,000 registered miners and offers two settlement methods for Bitcoin: PPLNS with a zero percent fee and FPPS at 4%. Stratum endpoints cover six regions (North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and India), accessible via both TCP and TLS connections at multiple port options. SpiderPool holds SOC2 Type 1 and Type 2 certifications, an independent compliance audit credential uncommon among cryptocurrency mining pools.

SpiderPool has built a supplemental yield layer through merged and joint-mining arrangements. SpiderPool launched joint mining with Fractal Bitcoin (FB) in September 2024, distributing 100% of mined Fractal Bitcoin directly to participating miners. More recently, SpiderPool introduced same-block dual rewards through DMT-NAT (NAT), delivering NAT tokens to miners in sync with every Bitcoin block at no additional setup cost. SpiderPool previously supported Rootstock (RSK) merged mining; ETC and LTC mining pool services have since been terminated.

Alongside pool infrastructure, SpiderPool provides ASIC firmware optimization, hardware hosting, liquidity support, and mining-related financial products. SpiderPool employs a DAG (directed acyclic graph) chain structure to support transparent, decentralized pool architecture the company positions as a structural check on centralized block template construction. In July 2025, SpiderPool launched Spider Credit, a miner scoring system that grades hashrate stability, uptime, and submission quality. Scores determine access to collateralized lending, equipment installment plans, and priority hedging products.

In April 2026, Compass Mining formalized a commercial partnership with SpiderPool, offering Compass customers SpiderPool's FPPS payout method at a 1% fee (a 75% discount from the standard 4%) by registering sub-accounts with a "compass" prefix through the Compass dashboard. Compass described SpiderPool at the time as one of the world's five largest Bitcoin mining pools and cited SpiderPool's SOC2 certification in the rationale for the arrangement.

Foundry USA, AntPool, and F2Pool hold a combined majority of Bitcoin network hashrate; SpiderPool's approximately 10% share positions it directly behind that trio. SpiderPool's mobile application, available on iOS, Android, and Google Play, provides real-time hashrate and earnings visibility. The Compass partnership marks SpiderPool's first publicly disclosed commercial co-marketing arrangement with a North American hosting and procurement platform.
